More Goats, Less Yoga - My Goat Yoga Gift

For a gift this year my daughter got me Goat Yoga! We were lucky to have the opportunity to be the first group with the new baby goats. Their handler said this had its drawbacks, as the babies had not be people trained yet. We did have to put all of our personal items on high shelves so our socks and shoes would not turn into goat food.

It was an amazing experience, not just because the baby goats were adorable, but because it gave my daughter and me a chance to spend time together. Since she's almost finished with high school, we know this part of our journey is coming to an end fairly soon.

The yoga class was actually very good, even with the constant interruptions. As you could imagine goats are spontaneously jumping on and off of you, and nibbling at your clothes. The instructor, who is a well respected yogi, took the class more lightheartedly than a typical class so everyone could enjoy the babies.

My goal now is to squeeze in as many goat yoga-like experiences as I can before she moves on to the next chapter of her life. Recognizing that these moments will be harder to come by in the future.

Thanks for stopping by.
